Area description

The town of Momjan (Momiano in Italian) in northwestern Istria, just south of the Slovenian border, is situated on a hilltop commanding incredible vistas of Istria's interior and the sea. Visit a 15th-century church and the ruins of a 13th-century cliff-top castle, or stop for a meal in numerous restaurants nearby, visit wine tastings in one of the famous local wineries, or just take a walk in the beautiful nature surrounding the town.
The nearest beach (pebble) is situated approximately 15 km away in Kanegra. Grocery store, post office, supermarkets, bus station, or a bank are all situated in the nearby city of Buje (cca 6,1 km away).
The nearest typical Istrian restaurant is only 150 m away from the property.

The Momjan Castle, built in 1234, is situated just 220 m away from the property. Only a ruin today but still a great place to visit.
