Area description
When arriving in Istria from the northwest, the first place you encounter is Savudrija, a small fishing village rich in history, located on the edge of the peninsula of the same name. Its indented, mostly rocky coastline is dotted with small pebble beaches and framed by lush Mediterranean vegetation, including laurel, palms, evergreen shrubs, pines, and cypresses.
Savudrija today offers much more than a pleasant climate. In addition to relaxation, swimming, and sunbathing, the area is ideal for visitors seeking an active holiday. Cycling past Roman monuments, trekking and jogging, tennis, scuba diving, and golf are all part of the diverse tourist offer. A professional 18-hole golf course on nearby Crveni vrh, just 3.5 km away, provides a unique playing experience seamlessly integrated into the landscape, with stunning views of the sea and surrounding vineyards.

The Savudrija peninsula is also rich in cultural heritage. Alongside numerous Roman remains, medieval churches, and monasteries, the Savudrija lighthouse, the oldest on the Adriatic, has become a major attraction and a popular place to stay in recent years.
Savudrija and the property are located only 7.1 km from the center and Old Town of Umag. Umag is the first town you reach when approaching Istria from Western Europe and is known for its charm, diversity, and rich tourist offer. With around 13,000 inhabitants, a 45-kilometer-long coastline, and an attractive hinterland, Umag perfectly combines the key features of the region and offers an excellent introduction to the Mediterranean lifestyle.
Aquapark Istralandia is just 24 km away, while the Baredine Cave, a protected geomorphological monument and the first tourist cave in Istria, is 44 km away, making it an ideal destination for a half-day excursion. The nearest airport is Pula Airport, located 91 km from the property.
